In 2011, we embarked on our first short-term mission to the Dominican Republic with a team more than 15 missionaries.   Although none of the group had any significant training, the spirit of the Lord led us to rescue more than 15 children in less than three weeks!

Over the years, we have continued rescue operations in the Dominican Republic.  A more typical rescue these days involves experienced operations teams adept at performing covert operations.  There may be weeks or months of surveillance involved when children are being held captive in a brothel.  The cost to rescue in such a case can be as much as $2,500 per child.  Teams must identify children being trafficked and build cases against traffickers in such a way that authorities can take action.  Please pray for this work.  The Spirit is clearly moving to rescue the children being victimized by sexual exploitation and to stop these predators!
